Le Mans Classic Tour

As the Le Mans Classic is only held once every two years, we've taken advantage of the 2010 event to take you on a trip you'll never forget.

We're jumping on a ferry to Spain, exploring the roads through Pamplona and taking in the Pyrenees, Andorra and then back into southern France. You'll get to drive some of our favourite back roads and have the chance of a rest day or a trip to the famous Millau bridge.

Then we head to Le Mans where our partners at Team Langoustine have reserved chateau camping accommodation specifically for us. We've included entry, VIP car parking 5 minutes walk from the circuit entrance and paddock passes whilst the chateau has a bar, swimming pool and restaurant so you've everything you need to enjoy the spectacle in comfort. You don't even need to take a tent as we've arranged that for you too! All you need to bring is a sleeping bag.

Of course you'll have the benefit of two support vehicles, two tour managers, sat-nav files, loan of our powerful walkie talkies, detailed route notes and a driver info pack.

Optional drive from the Goodwood Festival of Speed to the ferry at Portsmouth.

On board ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao, including entertainment from the P&O Players.

Drive off the boat and into northern Spain, where we cross the country in grand style passing through Pamplona (famous for it's annual bull-running event) and on to our overnight stop at the foothills of the Pyrenees.

A brisk drive up into the mountains and through the principality of Andorra, before descending into southern France and heading off to the 2500-year-old walled city of Carcassonne.

We traverse southern France on the other side of the Pyrenees now and into the Dordogne region, where we find our hotel (for the next two nights) nestling amongst the vineyards in the hills above the medieval town of Sarlat.

An "open" day - you may want to go to the coast, or explore the local vineyards, or visit the volcano at Puy De Dome, or perhaps make the trip to the fabulous Millau Bridge - it's your choice.

Le Mans beckons, so we make best use of the french autoroutes and dash up to the historic town to make the most of the Le Mans Classic race weekend, where we will be spending days 8 & 9 also.

The Classic at LeMans is made up of many races of sports cars from many eras, ranging from the 1920s to mid 1970s. So if you are interested in certain eras, you can plan your circuit visits to suit.

Our event partners for Le Mans, Team Langoustine, have produced a comprehensive camping and race ticket package for the Classic.

This package includes all race and Paddock passes as well as accommodation at Chateau Chanteloup. We also include a car park pass at Expo. This is situated a 5 minute walk from the circuits main entrance.

Camping at Chateau Chateloup

The Chateau is situated 20Km North East of LeMans with easy access to the city. You will be able to use all the Chateau facilities including bar and restaurant and many available sport options. Also access to swimming pools and water sports.

Our camping package includes a full height tent + rollmats (7cm foam + air envelope thick) + 1 rechargeable camping lantern per sleeping compartment. The tents will be pre-erected and dismantled after the weekend.
