    Default The Dreamshack

Thought I'd give the Dreamshack a little plug on here as Mark was so great with the days, weeks and months of prep he put into Pedro, the Oz Rally Baja.

He loves a challenge, especially if it's something a bit different, like Pedro, and is a master at building roll cages etc to fit.

Here's Pedro alongside Mark's buggy that he recently finished.

The sandrail he's building at the moment and one of the camel trophy landrovers he works on.

    Trike exhaust system

    A work in progress

He's also helping his daughter build a moster Baja, a Beetle shell on a rangerover chassis and jacked up so the door handles are 6 foot high!
So if you have a design in your head for something completly outrageous or just need a roll bar/cage then Mark's your man. Dreamshack is in Durley, Hampshire close to the M3 and M27.

    thats very cool indeed...

like the idea of the monster Baja by the way....
that would be some serious fun on the dunes!
If you're driving a soft top with the roof up, the storm outside better have a name.

Well she's doing it for a college engineering project and the plan is to sell it when it's finished to fund her through uni.

So it'll be for sale :-)

    These look brilliant.
I did part of "The Roof of Africa" drive in Swaziland about 10 years ago and had such fun and loads of bruises!!!!
    Good luck with the builds.

Cool, I did a London to Gambia run in dec 2006/jan 07
London - Mongolia in August 2007
and then just got back from the Oz Rally where I drove as far as Singapore before flying on to Oz.
Would love to do more rallying in Africa and want to do the Pan-American highway too. The Baja is back in the Dreamshack at the moment while Mark builds me another engine(I appear to have cracked the sump on an underwater object while fording a river in Pakistan)

Would be great to see some photos of "roof of Africa". Will be at the next Ace meet if you're going.
