The Evo triangle and the mountains around Bala are full of amazing roads. sparsely populated and very picturesque it is an ideal place to go. The only downside is the over zealous police force. lots of speed cameras and traps make it slightly hazardous for enthusiastic driving.

i've done it many times and even at or under th speed limit it is a lot of fun so perhaps a short trip could be in the pipeline

There's lots of bits of Wales where doing 60mph (i.e. the limit) is pretty tricky! I did some great roads on the way to the Isle of Man last Easter. Might have to head up there soon :-)

I'd be up for that. I think it was Switch I was talking to on Monday about the gorgeous roads around the Breacon Beacons and Elan Valley. Would be an easy weekender aswell.

            Cool

When were you thinking of ssetting out/ coming back? I'm assuming most people are monday to friday 9-5. So are you thinking friday afternoon through to sunday evening? At this stage I can still request an early finish on the friday or maybe wangle the day off completly. Could probably get a late start on the monday too.

Like to be in Wales for the day on Saturday, so if we can get up there on Friday night and come back on Sunday that'll do nicely...

it'll be tough for me, but if i leave work about 8ish on the Friday i could be in Wales by midnight.

that weekend works for me too...nothing in the calender.

i might take the M3, about time i took it on a run

Can we play here, the reservoirs are stunning and the roads should be fun without any of the summer tourist traffic to worry about

Thanks for the email Pete - I'm definitely up for this... How could I resist the chance to get to the top of the Black Mountain switch backs again and find the tyres and brakes gently smoking...
                            :sifone:

I'll dig out the routes we played on last time and send them over. Bear in mind that you won't find some of the 'more interesting' roads on many maps...!
