View Full Version : What are you doing for New Years?
I'm going a little bah humbug on this one....i think everything is over priced and over the top at New Year, so i am planning to chill out at home(once i've finished work)
anyone doing something marginally more interesting than I am?
R u looking for sympathy or lots of party invites? ;)
I don't do over-priced, over-rated parties either. Having a Boat Party :) ,not on my boat but on one of neighbours boats which is considerably larger.
Plus he usually takes it out for a spin when he's suitably pissed which is always good for a laugh. He's actually a very good drunk driver and its legal on the river.
Not sure how many people r going, some of the usual suspects r away so it could be wild or it could be a few quiet drinks with mates, either way is fine.
Oh OK, Poor Bachi :( .........And yeah, you're welcome to join us, no entry fee and you can wear your trainers(in fact I'd recommend it, the pontoons get slippery)! I have a spare cabin, so does John or I even have a whole spare boat u could stay on!!
Chilling out at my Mum's house, with Mrs & Baby Dan + sibblings and sprogs - will be lovely.
Besides, not a lot else to do with a 4 week old :D
I'm with you on the normal bah-humbug stuff Bachi, tend to either go to friends or have some to us for a small social gathering.

Going to Bev's grandparents for a little family gathering/party armed with all kinds of ordnance.... I've been tasked with providing the light display at midnight.... So if anyone sees what appears to be a nuke go off in the High Wycombe direction around midnight that was me and my pyro mate Dave will have well and truly come up trumps again for me :)
Category 4 pyro ftw :)
Ollie. you're scary!
Fiona, no not at all not angling (boat... angling, geddit? :) ) for an invite at all, i'm happy doing my own thing.
been so busy recently that i could do with a night of not doing much, plus i've got to be up early for the run down to Pheonix too

Its all good! I did the same on monday, drove to camden then to kent instead of going straight there! Meant an early morning and more money, but way way more fun!!!!!!
It's when you start driving to the Ace via Mongolia that you know you've lost it :D

Semi-tame night for us.
Having one or ten at a friends house.
We'll have enough adults there to talk enough sh!te to keep us in the mood for drinking 'til next year.
Have a good one folks and here's to plenty of hooning in 2010.
Similiar to Bachi - just chilling out at home with my homies, and my neighbours :)
Oh, but lots of alcohol. Just what the doctor ordered!

I'm so with Harsh on this one - New Year is totally overated ! everywhere will charge you a kings ransom just to spend the evening at their bar , much better to chill at home. In my youth we would go into town and watch the police having running battles with squaddies (we live in Hampshire), you tend to grow out of that eventually so we will be content to toast the year in at home and we will be giving Jools Holland a miss as well ! One day we will do it over in Oz and that will be worth going out for but its cold damp and overated here - Humbug is the new Langsyne !
