View Full Version : Is anybody going to the PistonHeads Post-Christmas meet?

Thought I'd go along - but then noticed it's in Dartford. Anybody else going who's up for turning it into a run? Or is a 10:30 finish on a Monday morning hoping a bit too much? :)
I've organised a meet at westferry circus at 9.30am....just so a few of us can convoy down there.
leaving at 10am sharp...

Jaykaybi is doing a mini run i believe but my gearbox at the moment won't stand up to that kind of shenanigans :( but i'm more than happy to join Harsh's contingent :D

Hmmm,
On the one hand I don't have to be at work till 5pm tomorrow so could potentially do this :)
But..on the other hand the Sebring's exhaust sounds like it's about to fall off :(
Then again, on the other hand I've had a really shit afternoon and could do with a bit of fun!
Ah, what the hell, I'll give the car a shake in the morning and if nothing falls off I'll come :)
Will aim to meet you at Westferry if I get up early enough otherwise I'll go straight there (I rather like the idea of driving to a random postcode with no idea what I'll find there)
....if you don't see me then I'm at the side of the road somewhere trying to re-attach the exhaust with gaffer tape :(

talked to lots of people and really enjoyed the run down the A2 surrounded by Lambos and Ferraris, the noise in blackwall tunnel and the Danson underpass was just out of this world!

enjoyed the run down the A2 surrounded by Lambos and Ferraris, the noise in blackwall tunnel and the Danson underpass was just out of this world!
I missed the tunnel noise, I was too late for the Westferry meet and for a very bizarre reason.....When I tried to drive out of the marina I found all the gates were closed, the security gate which is on sensors/keycode wouldn't open and it took a bit of manual persuasion. Hence my delay :(
Enjoyed my solo run through a very quiet London though, and tourists snapping pictures of me (OK of KILLER) as I hacked round an empty Trafalgar Square :D Sadly only my own engine noise in Blackwall but at least I managed to catch up with some of you at the meet which was cool :D
I did have a camera with me but have to admit I was pretty frozen and frankly couldn't be arsed taking any pictures (I'd have lent it to you though Bachi) Besides Seb said Nick was around somewhere with a camera so I'm expecting some stunning shots posted soon :)
AND....YES, my exhaust made it home too!!

I have to say, although I'm disappointed I didn't get any Lambo-in-tunnel action, I can't really complain at M3CSL+M3V8+Maserati! :bigear:

I was probably in a passionate embrace with the radiator in the ladies....it was a bit of a chilly drive down :)
Actually I did have a good old wander round, right up to the muddy car park up the top to see Seb's Imprezza.

Chilly? It was a lovely day. The roof on the MX5 went down at Westferry and didn't go back up until I got home. :D
Roof was down on the Sebring all day. I made the mistake of thinking M25 would be quicker than through town on the way home, wound up stuck in traffic for hours :( Then only had an hour to defrost before heading to work!
