Is it just me? but I log in, looks as though I'm logging in but no, try to post in a topic and it asks me to log in again!! GGGgGGGRRRRR

Also means I can't use the "view new posts" button...

Am I the only one?

I'm having the same problem.

It started when we moved servers and we are looking into it.
i'd be interested to know who else is experiencing it though and what browsers you're using.

I'm using IE7 at home and IE6 at work.
Marcellus what are you using?

I get the same issue on both IE8 and Firefox at work and at home, If I post very soon after logging in its fine, but when writing a long post I need to re-login!

Hmm, yeah, if I'm inactive for a bit and come back then it's logged me out. Don't have a problem with that though, asumed it was normal.

I've upped the session timeout value to 4 hours, if you could log out, clear the cookie
from your browser cache and log on again and let me know if that improves things.

Cleared Cache, cleared cookies, run a full "crap cleaner"... it thanks me for logging in and then makes me log in to post... also can't get into the "members only" areas!

That didnt work for me either,

I still need to try and reply to a post in order to actually log in, the log in at the top right hand corner starts to log me in then return me as not logged in. assume thats the same problem for everone?

Ok, I'll see if there's an IE specific issue with the top login box as I have no probs at all with this. I'll fire up my IE7&8 <shudder> on the lappy as well and see if I can replicate it as it's much easier to trace when you can see the problem for yourself.

BTW Happy Winter Solstice to all... :)

Robin, would this affect the "unread posts" status at all?

For example, I logged on a couple of hours ago & read all the new posts, posted a couple of things myself and then closed the browser & had my tea :)

Logged back in now and all the threads I read before are still marked as having new posts. They haven't.

I've only noticed this since about the time that you said you'd changed the timeout thingy. Could be a coincidence :)
