It's been a really really long time since i've had a bike.

since buying the Atom i've not really felt the urge as before.

however, having seen Pete on his and a few other mates on theirs, the lure is strong.

i know the Atom will keep up in an early morning blast, i dont need to wear a lid in it and i cant fall off.

but, the thought is still lurking in the back of my mind.

so.....i know why i shouldn't buy one, but why should i?

and if so which one? (bearing in mind i was alsways a Honda CBR man before)

I'm not convinced, I've seen you drive the atom and I'm sure you could fall off if you really tried ;-)

Because you can :D

As for what bike, well how long exactly since you had one?

I'd say if you want a 600 then either the Honda CBR 600RR of the Yamaha R6.

If you fancy something a little more powerful, then a Suzuki GSXR 750.

Or mental, the Yam R1 / Ducati 1198 or the new BMW SS1000R (or whatever it's called) is supposed to be awesome.

I wouldn't...

Keep it for when you eventually move out of London and you can enjoy it on the right roads on the right days.

And when that time comes, buy a Ducati.

(admittedly i'd never buy a Ducati because i have limited space to keep vehicles under cover, and so if i have a bike it needs to be utterly reliable :))

ducati 998 was very special, very dangerous if you have a twitchy right hand but very good.

Move to the sticks get a house with plenty of garage space and then get one, otherwise you will spend your life being cut up by some addison lee people carriers!!!

yeah get a bike..... best thing I ever did.

my fav bikes:
ZZR1100 this is what I ride currently.. Old but very gold. easy bike to ride and mental power. and good for comfort.

ZZR1400 again mental fast.... mate has uprated his to pump out 220 bhp.... he's hit 200 mph and was still pulling like a train apparently. Great for touring as well.

Cagiva Raptor 125cc yes 125cc fantastic fun unrestricted of course.. looks like a Ducati Monster... same designer. and real fun in traffic.

I have the same feeling, come summer the urge to get a bike gets even worse, I'm like a kid in a sweet shop when I go into the local bike showroom, wife has banned them after the second time it was thrown down the road! I would have ended up killing myself. So for that reason id say Stick to the atom stay alive!
