Hello!
As we approach the end of the 2009 season and make preparations for 2010 (and beyond!) i'd like to invite suggestions as to the kind of tours you might to see us produce in the future.
How about a long weekend in Wales, or the Isle of Man?
Would you be interested in a fly drive to the USA, with Harleys or Corvettes or Mustangs?
What about motorcycle tours around the UK and/or Europe?
Please feel free to jot down your ideas here, and let's see what we can do :-)
Black mountains and the Welsh coast maybe?
:o)

Oh yes, a dirty Weekend in Wales is definitely in the pipeline, don't you worry.
Probably a 3 or 4 day weekend. Does that sound good?

Dirty?
I guess you mean the cars will be when they are finished?

Like the idea of the Fly/Drive thing :) Big time.....
Also whatever happened to the meet thy maker thing.... Day trips to manufacturers/motorsport sites or even motoring related museums or events would be good. Haynes/Beaulieu sites would be a great day out I think.

Hey, if we get enough interest in the fly/drive we'll run it.
What would you want, Corvettes, Mustangs, or Harleys?
As to the Meet Thy Maker trips, we will be running a variety of weekend events next year including Bealieu and hopefully visiting a certain Norfolk based manufacturer's premises ;-)
We're also planning some social weekenders, in the same vein as BTaP but on a much more casual basis, something people can bring their partners to. Drinks, dinner, more drinks, a bed, a decent hearty breakfast and then a mini hoon to a decent pub lunch. Tempted?

Sorely.
Mustang cabriolet or a Corvette T top thanks.. I'll pass on the harley having never been on a bike in my life...
Just an idea for the fly drive thing - if you get a selection of cars and every one is insured for everyone, swapping around would be a great way to try lots of different things out.
Unfortunately it is very unlikely that I'll be able to join you for it, but that sort of thing would appeal.

Good idea - definitely worth looking into, thanks!

Evo Triangle & Pendine sands with some time making Beach Circles etc...
If it would be possible to have a man with jetwash after that would be great...
IOM tour but with the timing section for a few hours.
Could do a Triathlon event,
Bikes to the Coast, High speed Ribs to IOM or similar (suggest shorter distance) then Cars for the next bit..... needs a transport but has been done for Press...
Just a few ideas

Evo and Pendine sounds like a good plan for the Welsh Weekend trip, though at the moment IOM is still up in the air for 2010, simply because the calendar is filling up with so many ideas already!
If people want the IOM though, we'll have to make it happen :-)
Hmm the fly and drive sounds good my only issue from my point of view is currently being 21 still limits what cars i could possibly drive but i have had a full licence since 2006.
but if there was some way i could take part then that would be cool even if its not as hot as the other cars but as long as its not like a 1.1 micra lol.
definetly like the sounds of trips to places like beaulieu and with the very good contacts i have there ;) and quite a few roads i know of that are fairly enjoyable.
would love to do a trip down to monoco there are some awsome roads down that way.

Hey Nick,
I think your age may be an issue with the Calfornia Cruisin' Tour but i'll certainly look into it and see what we can come up with.
Don't think you'll have any issues with any of the other tours though ;-)

At the moment we're looking at Corvettes, convertible Mustangs, and possibly the V8 Camaro SS. I'll check the Dodge situation too ;)

Had an idea this morning, the Girl I sit next to in the office did the Mille Miglia a few years back, would this be an option some of her pictures are amazing... Especially if we could drive some of the streets.
Could transporter the cars down to save time.

Indeed, Mille Miglia is on the cards, but possibly not for this year...
Would you want to follow the cars whilst they do the route (May - could be rather chaotic) or simply do the same roads at a different time of year?

For me to drive the roads, the chaos around the event would be a pain, and id rather attend the event for food and drink.
It would be cool to drive the roads and see if we could get access to som of the restricted roads.
no rush as i think I'm running light on hioliday for 2010 as it is!
Also as its a long way down to ship the cars in would be a good idea saving a few days for other trips.... we used to do this with the demonstrators I ran.

Pete,
Can i just throw in a stop off on the California crusin` trip. I'm guessing pacific highway 1 will be traversed at least once during the tour. I'd recommend a stop at Hearst Castle in San Simeon, the basic tour is great, and its fantastic to see good old fashioned eccentric indulgence at its finest. It has to be seen to be believed also.

Nice one - thanks. Should be possible to incorporate.
You coming then? :D

I went when I was in SF with work, took me about 6 hours to get there and 6 hours back, but Pacific Highway 1 is AMAZING!!!
The tour itself took less than 3 hours, but was well worth it.
Providing the price is right i'll be there.

Laguna Seca :D I also need to dig out the trip some chap gave me when I met him in the hotel bar after the Sydney Motorshow last October. SPR2 on PH had it written down (more than can be said of me)
