Hello!

Right, well the Team Langoustine boys are still waiting for final details from the ACO (surprise, surprise), but the details they have up already are here:

Thanks for the link, but as yet there are no prices for the Tet Rouge campsite :)

I have just sent an email to TL

I take it this is where everybody plans to stay?

I think we're open to suggestions on the details, dates, ferries, etc. - the Team Langoustine guys have been doing this for a few years and we know them and went with them last year, so they can shoulder the responsibility again this year :)

Ladies and gents.

We have had a torrid time trying to secure the Team Langoustine dedicated site for 2010/2011 and can now confirm that it is officially ours.

The prices have been set and we can start taking bookings.

Last year we had some issues that concerned everybody on the site and caused us problems. We have addressed them for 2010, but if you have any further suggestions, please feel free to email and if we can, we will address those as well.

The main issue was space. In 2009, the site was based on 200 vehicles. This was the ACO’s suggestion and we did not know better and went with that number. We now know that the site cannot comfortably take that number. We have reduced the site to 170 vehicles only.

The site is relatively safe, being surrounded by an 8ft fence/wall and gated, but this did not stop the general public entering and wandering around the site. We will introduce security on the gate while the circuit is open for practice and Saturday through to the end of the race on Sunday, we will have people at the gate checking wrist bands. No wrist band, no entry.

No cables for power distribution will be permitted to be run over the access road. High level or low level. We must maintain this access for the fosse emptying at the base of the site. Being unable to reach this location in 2009 caused the waste storage to over flow. Not nice.

These measures will obviously have an affect on cost. The price for 2010 is £295 per vehicle.

We try and keep this price as low as we can, but being such an exclusive site, the ACO know how to charge for it. If you would like a breakdown, please email us and ask.

The ACO have changed their policy regarding payment and we must send full payment before Jan 2010. So we must therefore ask for full payment within 2 weeks of your order.

To secure a place in the TL site with PetrolHead Nirvana please contact Team Langoustine at
theguys@teamlangoustine.com

Be quick as spaces are limited and demand is high.

Many thanks
Andy

So guys, even at £295 per pitch this is good value,
we all had a ball last year so what do you say?

we're looking at ferry options at the moment, but if the site is filling up it'll be a moot point if you dont book.

we dont make any money out of our Le Mans trip but we do have a lot of fun!

I'm getting really tempted by this or maybe the classic. The thing is KILLER has been but I haven't! How can my car have been when i haven't?! It's just not fair and I need to do something about it :(

Who's going though? Won't be any fun if I don't know anyone.

I've done LM so many times but have always wanted to go to the Classic - so i'm hoping i can go on that :)

Hmmm, decisions. Not sure I can stretch to the classic, much as I want to tick Andorra off my country list. Meant to go to Carcassone on the Plymouth - Banjul but with the delays from breakdowns had to settle for a quick glimpse of the walled city from a nearby hill top before pushing on :(

LM being just the weekend is cheaper but I used all my annual leave up driving to Oz. My new leave year doesn't start till July however I am managing to rack some up by doing overtime for time off in lieu, so you never know. Hmmm

Gents/Ladies
The Team Langoustine dedicated campsite at LeMans 2010 is very nearly full. We have set aside 20 places for PetrolHead Nirvana and only 7 have been taken up. I am sure there are more wishing to attend, but time is running out.
We can only hold the remaining places until Friday 12th Feb.

Please contact us as soon as you can if you wish to secure a place.

I'd love to come along but Mr Insurance Man would rather keep my car on the mainland. He even got pissy when I went to visit someone on the Isle of Wight - I love trackers, group 20 cars, and being 19. Gah.

Anyway - if there's a spare seat going in anybody's car I would love to split costs with you to come along. I'm a good chat... I guess? :D

November 2010 - but I've researched the whole thing greatly and until I'm 21 (June 2011) I can't do anything with the Scoob - and I plan on trading it in for a Maserati or a TVR when I'm 21 anyway so it could be difficult.

What's your plan anyway buddy? Be good to see if I can somehow make it work - or if you possibly have a space would I be able to annoy you for the run? ;)
