Depending the ownership demands, I have always thought it would be a great car for cruising around the countryside.

Mmm, yes please, white on white looks best in my opinion, really shows off those massive arches!

Great cars, almost bought an Evo II ages back but opted for some jap crap instead. Put simply they're one of the most rewarding cars ever when pedalled hard. Pure drivers car.

But...they're certainly not without their niggles, spares can be quite difficult to get ahold of as there's a big demand for them, running costs aren't too bad if you find a decent one. My mate runs his EvoII 5 days a week, costs around 4k a year to keep ship shape apparently.

Get whatever you end up looking at (if you do) checked by a pro, as a lemon will cost you the earth!
Suspension turrets often crack welds, as do other areas of the bodyshell (supposedly due to the amount of grip they can get if you ask the purists, to engineers it's known as a lack of structural integrity ;))

The fuel consumption is horrific on them on anything other than steady motorway cruises.
Standard brakes can be pretty crap, and are worth swapping out for uprated stuff.

Well worth it though, I still lust after an EvoII.

Cheers,

Ouch, my 360 Modena does not cost that much a year to run.
