On a different topic, is everyone else feeling OK? I woke at 3am and started vomiting...

No vomiting but a stinking cold that has made my voice go all deep and manly. Barry White now sounds like a schoolgirl :) Taken the day off work so as not to spread the plague amongst my colleagues...

Thanks again to Bachi, Ben & Robin for a fantastic trip, and those working behind the scenes too. Thank you also to my fellow hooners for providing sterling company throughout the adventure. Last but not least, my thanks go again to Bachi for some obvious reasons (*cough* M3) and some not so obvious ones :)

Guys and gals you were a riot and as Carol says - AGAIN! :D

A huge thank you to not only Robin, Ben and Bachi for putting on and managing such an incredible experience but to all of you who took part. Despite the obviously highlights of the roads, scenery, hotels, cars and adventure...each and every one of you helped to make it an absolutely superb wekend for both Sarah and I. I am also yet to find the words to truly describe what we have all encountered and endured but am sure over the next few days will become clear onece the photos start to filter through.

Thank you all so much...we loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and did I say we loved it! ;-)

Despite my constant living and breathing petrolhead antics this weekend was a major turning point for Sarah and in some ways our relationship. Having suffered daily bombardment for the last 4 years about one thing or another petrolhead related, she now fully understands and appreciates exactly why I feel the way I do because she has seen it with her own eyes and been part of such a great adventure herself. Would you believe that having taken the micky out of me for being able to identify a car coming by the noise of it's engine that by day three she was telling me that Drew, John and Bachi were approaching even before I had noticed! And to top it all off Sarah asked Bachi for a couple of petrolhead Nirvana stickers completely off her own back which will no doubt soon be worn by her newly aquired Peugeot 307cc Sport. It seems Petrolhead Nirvana isn't just a way of life, it's infectious too! :)

Thanks again to one and all for being such great sports. We loved every minute and look forward to catching up with some of our new found friends again soon...

All the best,

James and Sarah. :)

P.S. We will forward details of how to view and request any of our pics shortly...

Just want to echo whats been said above, WOW.

Thanks to Robin, Ben and Bachi for the organisation and Bachi for staying back with me while the car was having a fight with the radio waves.

We've both had an amazing weekend, and are sat a little spaced out this morning after such an intensive few days.

Even on the way home the Sat Nav also decided it hadn't had enough and rerouted us off the M20 back towards the last hotel. Took us a few minutes to realise.

We look forward to catching up with out fellow hooners soon. But for now in the voices of the teletubbies, AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN!!!!

Guys what can i say?
(considering everything i said on tour!.....why didnt someone shut me up?)

i had a fantastic time, i know Ben and Robin (who is still asleeep by the way) feel the same way.
So many highlights which no doubt will come out in the Photos and Videos

but, hmm, 13 thousand nuts to fix a TVR?
even though there was nothing wrong with it.

Frogger Frogger Frogger!

the don't follow me awards
the sound of the Capristo'd 355 ringing in my ears

finally giving in when we found a storm that had not one but 3 4 or 5 names
Jesus, Mary and f#####g Joseph

the Hotels, the food, being able to smoke in Petrol Stations :D

and of course the people on the tour. So many different characters just gelling together.
The last 3 days showed how well everyone got on (after 2 days of getting to know each other)
the way everyone drove together and looked after each other was great to see.

Oh and finally.
Mont Ventoux and the Dunkin Car park
we need no excuse to go and do it again do we?

oh wait, i think i might have dropped a piece of litter that i need to go and retrieve.
who wants to come and help me look?

2 Words sum it up - "Petrolhead Nirvana".

Drew, no throwing up here, so not sure what you've got.

I did a "dawn raid" to the office this morning - it just wasn't quite the same :(

Still buzzing from it all.

I can only echo the comments of everyone else so far - great trip, and enhance by a bunch of great (new) friends.

I'm going to stop now before I start crying, but "I wanna go again, again, again. . . "

:D

Thanks to Robin, Ben and Bachi for the organisation and running of the trip, and to everyone who came along for making it what it was. I hope Sarah no longer sees the SLK as a hairdresser's car? I hope i surprised a few of you with how sporty it can be. ;)

I'm more than happy to nip back to pick up that rubbish you left Bachi... just need to get two new tyres and a service first. :auto:

The sign of a good time is feeling totally deflated the first day back to normality. Karen and I went to the Ace for a late breakfast today and there was an old fella there with a pristine Subaru STI. He joked he was always the first to the Post Office to pick up his pension and that he was determined to enjoy himself as he could be dead tomorrow. He called it an end life crisis :) What a great philosophy and one that i think I'll adopt... can't wait to hoon across Europe again... hopefully with many of the same crowd.

And finally thanks to Bachi, Drew and Peter for one last hoon through London with an impromptu tunnel run... it was a great way to finish off the trip after the slow silent drive back up the M20. And thanks to Bachi for the late night supper. :)

Its almost 24 hours since we got back - and im still struggling to find the words to describe what happened on these 5 crazy days....

A big Thx to everone who was involved in organising this trip - the roads were amazing, the hotels (well ok 3 of the 4) were simply stunning... and the people - icing on the cake... made the trip one of the best short breaks ive ever had

No matter how sh&t work gets, Liverpool play or every day things start to get to me... I'll do my best to remember these 4 simple things:

1) Mount Doughnut
2) Following Mad John & some Mad long Haired dude ( with some mad bloke in an S2000 behind me) for about 20 mins over some back roads en provence
3) Trying to keep up with Carol and her overtaking
4) smoking in petrol stations... ;-)

And the best thing is - all of this happened with no license (allegedly)

Hope to see you soon for some more mayhem

Amit

Ps - " On a different topic, is everyone else feeling OK? I woke at 3am and started vomiting..."... fancy some more dodgy fois fras mate???

Exactly what sprung to mind for me also. Hmmm, runny fois gras anyone?

No wonder you were sick Andrew, all the blood must have rushed from your head! ;)

A pure fluke this shot but what a cracker hey. I didn't realise what I had captured until afterwards. Priceless!

Well for those of you who made it to work today I imagine you felt as depressed throughout it as I did. :( To be fair I actually had a good day but I just couldn't stop thinking about the great times we have all had over the previous five days. To coin one of John's phrases, I'm still walking around with a coat hanger in my mouth...:coolgleamA:

Just sitting here on the sofa typing this and Sarah says a big hello to one and all!

James. :)

Well, being a PH virgin I thought I'd break my cherry and post my thoughts on the amazing experience over the mbv tour. Like eveyone it was one of those trips that will be remembered and hope to do it again (maybe the wife and kids wouldn't notice if I popped out for a week).

I like to thank everyone for making such a great event and my nose / ear & throut doctor recons my hearing will eventually return to normal .. soon.

A big thank-you to Bachi to getting me involved as I was reaching that era of my life where you wear comfy slippers, smoke a pipe and chat mainly about the cost of living.

Look forward to a repeat, maybe a week long trip ....... if I get divorced!

Again thanks to everyone, I won't mention names but its addressed to you all.

Best regards,

Run Flat Adam.
