Favourite drives.........

Ok, do you have a favourite road you know and love, or maybe just a particular bend that always puts a smile on your face?

In Europe it's the San Bernadino pass for me,
In the UK I love Wrynose pass..it's not quick but it is simply stunning

a lot of roads around the peak district, such as the Buttertubbs pass are worth the trip too
although down south we have the A272 to play with.

and finally my favourite bend (back from when i was a kid is on the road from Kingston to Raynes Park.
just before you get to the A3 junction there's a left hand kink which always makes me smile.

The San Bernardino as you say, or the Picollo San Bernadino is really special to me too. Join the two together and you'll think you've died and gone to Petrolhead Nirvana.

We passed it in the late afternoon when the sun washed it in a golden colour, lighting the road for miles ahead. A truly stunning road to drive.

As for the UK, I think there are some real gems oop north just waiting for us.

although down south we have the A272 to play with.


Part of the A272 is definitely one of the best / favourite roads for me - I love it on the bike as traffic has less chance of spoiling a run. Although if it's clear, it's great in the car too.

Oh another favourite is the A46 form Lincoln to Grimsby - blinding stuff.

Lincolnshire in general has some pretty good roads.
