The Building Systems Co is run by a team of 3 people...myself, Project manager Mark Borthwick (Furryballer) and Site manager Sylwester (Sly)...all early members of PN and all regulars at the Ace Cafe.

They employ a futher group of up to 20 guys who have a vast amount of skill and experience in the building trade. So far, no project has been beyond the team.

The company specialises in refurbishment works, extensions, insurance work and can work all the way up to full new builds (of which they have a few under their belt already) and also has extensive experience in working with renewable resources, such as;

Solar power (both for water heating and for electricity generation)
Rainwater harvesting
ground source heat pumps

As well as;

Underfloor heating,
energy efficient lighting
energy efficient boiler/megaflow systems
Whole house audio/video
intelligent lighting systems
stone/wood flooring

mainly working in the Surrey, Berkshire, London and surrounds. they have the ability to help work to your specifications or offer options of their own.

if you want to contact any of the guys simply PM them on here.
but if you've a question/comment then please feel free to post it up on this thread.

I wish I had known this last year. Can they attend and troubleshoot / diagnose and quote to repair smaller issues such as interior leaks, window frame and mounts problems etc?

To be honest we tend to look at slightly larger projects,
however as it's you i'll give Sly your number.

one thing about Windows though, depending on their age they ought to have a 'FENSA' warranty on them.
Windows are pretty specialist things, we buy ours in from an American company and simply install.

however if the windows are ok and the way they are seated into the building is an issue we may well be able to find a quick fix for them (installation errors are normally down to people not taking care with what they're doing)

I'll get Sly to look on here and give you a shout

Harsh its been fixed already, I was just wondering for future ref thats all. We had issues at the time with people not being interested, but it being a potentially large ish job etc.

Thanks anyway :)

I had a "small" plastering job done by the team as a bit of a favour (no not free, favour as in it's a smaller job than they normally do) - I'd done all the prep work etc so my bedroom was ready to be plastered.

Sly came round sussed out the job, gave a price (which remained the same after they'd finished too) then work out attendance the was convenient for both, ended up having it done over 3 successive evenings so no time off work needed.

The standard of workmanship is very good & I'd certainly recommend them - and definitely use the guys again if I get a slightly larger project on the go.

Just wish I'd used them for my extension, rather than the builders we had.

Larger project on the go. Currently bathroom-less at the moment as it has been gutted.

I'm please with how quickly everything is going.

Full update on completion....
