I've just ordered a suction cup camera mount for the car to record some of my antics. Looking forward to using it at some PN tours etc. Is anyone else using these, I just bought it for my digital camera as I don't have any bullet cams etc.

Im sure i read someone on here saying he had bullet cams n stuff.
Either way, i'd love to have a little play when you get the mount matey! Should be able to get some ace shots!

We have a setup that works quite well - look out for some previews / recon missions from the PN crew soon! :)

I've used those and they're fine provided you get decent suction (not great on cold days) and the camera isn't too heavy (inertia). Where would you be considering mounting it?

Bruce if you've not got a bullet cam and are planning on using your camcorder then be carefull that you don't damage it!
Bullet cams have replacement screen things and they do get pretty dirty....

My camera is very light and im hoping for a decent image, although not professional, just for a bit of fun to make a video or two. Im sure i can fabricate some sort of casing around the camera that is sturdy and will protect it.
In realtion to the question about where to mount it the suction device i have gone for is very strong. For incar shots i have considered mounting on the passenger window and for exterior I would like to do a few trials on the rear lid so you can see the spoiler go up and down (boxster) or on the front bumper looking backwards down the side of the car capturing the front wheel. I'll have a play around.
When I was at the Ace Cafe last month Robin showed me some footage of his TVR with a bullet cam so I was some what inspired to give it a go.
Once im up and running I will post some pics and video on this thread :)
Thanks for your comments.......and Grant you know you'll be the first to have a play, i'll come over with it

Ok so I got my camera mount, its not a full system by any means but just holds my digital camera, I had a little go with it the other night and there's a link below to some footage. Im no professional when it comes to video editing or anything, its just for a bit of fun. Anyway I said id let you know how it goes :)
