In case you haven't seen the thread on Pistonheads - Yesterdays Heroes , there was a Memorial service for Mike Hawthorn last Sunday , I only decided to go last minute and wasn't quite expecting all these old Motors , the green Mk2 is a replica of Mikes famous one. Stirling Moss also attended and how often do you get to see Damon Hill fishtailing up Farnham high street in a D type ?!!

Heres some photo's

Thanks for sharing :)

I'd really like to make it a point to take more of an active interest in classic events over the next few years.

RIP Mike Hawthorn.

Now's there's a good thought. Classic racing: the Lola Aston T70 is running in this years AMOC series. F*cking awesome and the only real one owned by NYer James Freeman . . . Also the owner of the famous DB4GT 17TVX. Go see!
