Nancy's running it again this year (3rd 'running' so to speak)

she's been doing some light training over the winter and will be back in full training in January.

is anyone else planning to run it this year...if not, would anyone like to come and shout encouragement at her en route this year?

Mad woman :D

She's running for 'the hearing dogs' charity, same as last year.

i'm sure she'll be along soon to put up a linky

I could be tempted to pop along to have a browse and cheer. Have been, possibly stupidly, considering attempting it for 2010. Only problem is, I'm currently seriously unfit, so alot of work required to get to that level.

i still think she's nuts
but i will be posting details of the sort of time she expects and also where i plan to be...
which is at the start, the end and 2 points along the route.

I have a lot of respect for those who manage to achieve this distance. It takes such commitment and discipline to train for such an event. I enjoy running and have done a few 10K events over the years but the thought of a Marathon just scares me!

Good luck with it Nancy!!!

James.

Think we could sneak a cheeky pint while we are waiting for Nancy to pass Bachi?

When is the marathon? I might be 'up' for some spectating

Harsh

now there's an idea :D

it's Sunday 26th April which is why she's not going on the MBV tour...
she'd love a cheer squad!

I could be up for a beer or two in "support" :D

Harsh

:D

right then , how about a cheer squad list?
She's aiming for sub 4 hours...hopefully about 3.50ish (did 3.58 last year)

the race starts at 9.45am
as i said i'll be at the start,
then i'll walk down through Greenwich Park and see her just after the 6 mile mark about10.30=10.45

then back in the car and driving round to a secret parking place near the embankment tunnel(near castle barnard street for you tunnel runners out there) at mile 24 between 1.10 and 1.40

then to the finish where i'll probably meet her on Pall Mall

if there are more i might bring the F150

I'd be up for a clap and a cheer to support Nancy across the line. Am I right in saying that's Easter weekend too so a nice 4 day break? Bachi if I get a train up from Sevenoaks could I jump in with you for the mad dash across town?

Fingers crossed for a bright sunny day but not too warm for the runners...:coolgleamA:

My mistake. :leaving:

I just checked my diary and noticed it is the weekend before the Millau Tour and not the one after. I popped back on to edit my post but you got me. :smilielol5:

Still up for it all the same,

James. :)

If you are all going to be my cheer squad...

Are you going to be in cheer leaders outfits? Huh?

:(

How about a pom pom?

Awfully remiss of nobody to post Nancy's sponsorship link! I shall do the honours:

http://www.justgiving.com/nancywilliams

It's this weekend and she's only about half way to her total ........go on, beats running it yourself :)

:hurray: Congratulations to Nancy!

She did great - at least that is what I was told since I failed to be at the right
time at the right places.. (hmmmm, heard that before :( )

Anyway - honour to whom honour is due

3:58 - yes well done Nancy. Sorry I missed your mini meet, but was tied up with PH stuff - and what a great day to! It's been a fab weekend. Somehow I bet Nancy is curled up in a ball somewhere, knackered!

She had a cold for a week afterwards actually,
even took a couple of days out of the office....the cheek!

funny though with a cold at the height of the Pig flu scare, meant she always got plenty of space on the train :D
