There's a really good Daytona kart track at Sandown too, but I've been given the right old runaround by them before, so vowed never to go back.

Never been to the Milton Keynes one, but I've heard it's good too !

this is what has been posted over on our competitors site......


I've held the 22nd of Feb at Lakeside Raceway, its the IronMan(person) event which consists of a 10 minute timed qualifying round followed by a 50 minute race that we will break into 2 X 25 min stages, 50 minutes in a kart straight is pretty hard core on the arms so its probably better to run a split race, good time to syc out the compertition in the break
Session start at 12.30pm but they will need us there an hour before for briefing etc
There is a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 25 places, I will have to confirm this booking with Lakeside on Friday the 19th of December so we have till then to make up the numbers.
The cost of the event is £89.00 per driver, I will need to put down a 50% deposit next Friday given we get the 20 people minimum and then pay the full balance 14 days prior to the event. I am prepared to put this on my personal card (unless anyone has a better idea) and you can pay me the cash on the day. SO IF YOUR NAME IS ON THE LIST ONCE CONFIRMED ITS AS GOOD AS PAID FOR.
I will need to check but I think they also require you to pay £3.00 per driver to cover personal acceident insurance, but am sure this can be sorted out on the day directly with Lakeside.

Nothing specific but we could meet at 10am at Hyde Park South Carriage drive and do a quick blast across London.

the plan is also to get some food afterwards at Lakeside ...probably Harry Ramsdens as we can park outside

ARRIVAL TIME
11:30 am at the latest, Lakeside have stated that "Any persons arriving after this time will not be permitted to race"

We will be participating in an Iron Man event which consists of a 10 minute timed qualifying session to determine grid positions followed by a 50 minute race that will be split into 2 25 minute sessions with a break in between.

PAYMENT
We are all paid up and ready to go, but we will each need to pay £3.00 per driver on the day to cover insurance.

PARKING
Parking at the race way seems Ferrari friendly and is off the beaten track so should not attract any attention, Personally I'm not bringing my car, which takes the pressure off deciding where to get food afterwards, I'm unfamiliar with the area so am more than happy to see what the general feeling is after the race regarding getting a bite to eat (thats if we have the energy to raise our hands to our mouths at that stage)
