A not very well known fact is that most mass produced performance cars come out of the factory with 'safe' suspension settings.
What is even less well known is that some cars come out with their settings all over the place!
Look at it this way, a car on a production line is given just a few minutes at each station. This is not even remotely enough time to adjust and hone the car to give it optimum handling. add to that the fact that a newly built car will not have had time to 'settle' on its bushes and other components and you may be left wondering what the fuss is all about when you drive it.
Older cars obviously suffer from degradation of components over time. The worst part about that is that you don't notice the gradual deterioration and may just fall out of love with the car.
All for the sake of a few worn bushes or settings.
So, who do you get to look at your car? A main dealer? ...hmmm I think not.
Kwik Fit...or those other fast fit tyre places who offer such a service? ...eeerm no.
So how about a suspension and chassis tuning specialist? This rare breed does actually exist, and the whole reason for this forum is because I've managed to get one of the best and most highly regarded in the U.K. to become one of our forum experts.
Chris at Center Gravity will be joining us to chat and pass on some of his knowledge.
We will also be arranging some meets where Chris can look over the cars and get them handling just the way they should...
