Le Mans 2009

Quick query really, I'm looking at ordering my Le Mans 2009 trip. Just wanted to see if Petrolhead Nirvana were going to be organising some sort of run/trip to Le Mans for next year?

we dont know the Le Mans scene as well as we would like to, so until we get to know it well enough to run a really good tour we would rather not do it.

that said, we've been asked by a number of people now, so there is a strong incentive to do the required research and run something in 2010.

that and the fact that it would be really good fun!

When we went to Classic Le Mans we booked tho' http://www.speedchills.com/

We were very happy with their arrangements and costs (stopped overnight in France on the way down)

Le Mans itself doesn't appeal to me looks like it attracts too many ManU type "supporters" - of course I've never been so I could be wrong

Speed Chills' Le Mans looks more like beer and tv screen to me but I could be wrong and possibly at least they'll have English beer on site as well the keg plastic copy lager this year - the French do lagers and beers but your much better off sticking with Leffe

Was really hoping to do a PN le Mans experience, but for 2009 I'm probably going teaming up with a few others and going thru another 'quality' organiser...

2010 would be great to have a nice group go down....

i know mate, but you know what i'm like, if i cant do it properly i dont want to do it at all.

however if you guys do decide to go down there, i may well come with you.

Stu , I have been twice now , its a great time for anyone into their motors , basically there is a choice to be made , you either go to one of the campsites close to the circuit which can do your head in after a couple of days or you can do as we do , have a really great site with FULL facilities inc swimming pool set back in the countryside , so good even a team lodges there , about 20mins from the circuit , all we do is buy the tickets from just tickets , grandstand ticket is highly reccomended though.Heres our campsite , its a peach..

Team Langoustine have joined us and will be happy to organise a Petrolhead Nirvana group to head to Le Mans next year and beyond.

i told you we weren't going to do it, so we've brought in the best guys for the job to instead!
