how you can even look at a bike when you know the dangers is beyond me.
is it simply the adrenalin that drives you on?

It's hard to explain really - you either just get it or you don't.

I love the performance - 0-60 in a bout 2.5 secs, 100 in under 5.

170 in 15 :D

I know the dangers and I accept them - in the same way you (and I) accept them in a car (in principle) it's a risk - you take it because you love it.

You do what you can to minimise them, ride / drive defensively and treat everyone else as an idiot - lots of them are anyway :D

Traffic is rarely and issue on the bike either, so if you go out for a blast it isn't ruined by being stuck behind a line of caravans for example.

The adrenalin, the buzz, call it what you will - but I just can't be without it.

Dragging my knee round a corner at 110 mph just makes me happy :)

I've done very few miles on the road this year, most of them have been getting to and from trackdays, where the risks are lower. :)

i admit that with my advancing years, fear probably overrides the potential adrenalin rush, that and the fact that i'm less inclined to be out of my comfort zone as regards learning new things.

but i understand the parallel with the cars.

I did :D

A few crashes, no one I knew and none resulting in injuries.

Stayed relatively dry all day which was nice.

Started in the novice group, but after session 2 moved up to inters, where I felt happy.

Missed the last session of the day as I have a nail in my rear tyre and didn't want to risk it!

Given the choice of Brands or Cadwell again, I'd pick Cadwell. . . .

Should be some pics to follow at some point. . . . .
