On Saturday Jo and I went off with our motor club and marshalled the Fat Albert Rally at Keevil airfield just outside Trowbridge. We did this event 2 years ago and then it was quite a good day especially as it's not open to the public for spectating it means we can focus on the cars.
One of the club was competing in a red scooby #25 and did a very respectable 11th out of some 80+ cars that started that day and came 4th in class.
Generally it was a quiet day compared to the last time we were there so I got a chance to take some photos (about 450 of them) and I thought I would share....
Here's our club banner all nicely set up

This escort was getting some stick because he kept spinning out all over the place, even to the point where the radio cars were calling it "Death Wish 50 is now on stage"

The nice thing about the fat albert is some of the random cars that turn up as it is essentially a tarmac rally

Now we believed this to be a Hawk replica / kit of a Lancia Stratos rather than an original

I have to say a big thank you to the RAF for continuing to host such an event and to Wing Commander Wayne (no pun intended) for the invite to an airfield day drive at another RAF base when the opportunity arises. I might post some more pics later.
