View Full Version : Could I live with a NOBLE?

I'm off thinking about another toy and the Noble M12 GTO 3R is a very definite candidate but, as I live in the land of bad roads and pot-holes, I don't know if it's a practical idea or not.
What's your opinions folks?

...practical idea or not...
NOT.
Unless you own a Ford garage, or a race team, or many of the other requirements to keep a notorious Noble on the road.
Nobles are fabulous when they're working. If you've had a TVR you know what you're letting yourself in for.
Trouble is, when they're NOT working, they're so frustrating.
I am, however, stumped to come up with another car for similar money that is as much fun when it is working - and is reliable to boot...
I'd have to agree with Bruce on this. Great cars when they work.
Nancy was looking at one for a while but in the end it was the unreliability aspect that put her off plus the fact that parts are expensive.
for a decent GTO3R (which is the only one to go for....6spd gearbox, LSD, baffled sump and new wiring and ECU) you're looking at about £30k i believe
for that you can get quite a lot, from a C6 vette to an Ariel Atom.
it rather depends on whether its 'as well as' or 'instead of' the TVR

It would be an "as well as" car.
It probably would have to be ..... what sane person in Ireland would buy a TVR, eh?
;)
No one sane ;)
in that case the Vette would be too similar....i think an Ariel Atom is the way forward then.
you drive one, you'll want one...believe me, i know!
other than that something lightweight fun and reliable i guess....maybe a caterham if the Atom is too extreme?
