View Full Version : Goodwood Breakfast Club Sunday August 3rd

We'll be meeting up at the normal place (Guildford Cathedral...postcode GU2 7UP)
at 7am, and aim to leave no later than 7.30am for the run down to ensure we don't hit any traffic and get a decent spot in the car park

The theme for this months Breakfast Club - ‘Thoroughbred Sunday – the quintessential pre-1980 sports car’ - Attracting: All pre-1980 classic sporting cars and motorcycles

For me this is a really exciting theme as it could attract all manner of classic beasts from 300sl Gullwings to old lagondas right up to the Countach, Urraco and Ferrari 308 (i wonder if Chris Evans will make an appearance with his new toy?)

The standard rules apply in that this is not a race or rally. The purpose of this thread is simply to help guide you via an enjoyable route to the Goodwood event.

if you're looking for something competitive or intend to drive in an anti social way, we'd prefer you didnt join us.

It means that most of us wont get to go on show but personally i'm quite excited by what might turn up!

Obviously Jo and I didn't make this one - this is our first non-get-up-at-stupid-o'clock each day of the weekend and I have been enjoying sleeping at the weekend for once.

Can't wait to see the pics guys

Weather was mildly disappointing again, but not too bad.

Nice drive down - the SELOC lot joined in with us - the PN truck certainly pootles along quite well :D

Some very nice cars on display, as I said, pics later :)

Busier on the drive back, but good fun, "stuck" in the middle of 2 Ferrari's until Mark turned off & Bachi & I headed up to the A3.

Still busy but managed to open the cars up a little - I'm sure my speedo had switched to kmh ;)

Great pictures Harsh. Considering the weather it wasn't a bad turnout and I enjoyed the drive down there paced by the F150. Shame about the rain but still a good selection of classics to drool over. :D

There were indeed some stunning cars there.

and hats off to their owners who took them out in the rain.

I know Robin enjoyed playing with the sportscars in the F150....it hustles!
