Hello all! We run a vintage/classic car restoration company in Aylesbury,Buckinghamshire, and if anyone has any technical queries, has suffered a breakdown and needs help, we are here to help! We service, repair and restore all sorts of cars, but anything post 1980's is be bit beyond our bounds, especially anything that requires plugging into a computer to diagnose! We will be able to answer queries during the week, and occasionally on the weekends if not busy playing. If you would like to see the range of other peoples toys we have the pleasure of working on, please visit www.timwalkerrestorations.co.uk

Guy is here by my invitation. He looks after my Alvis and lots of other people's cars - from eyewateringly expensive stuff to original minis and SD1s. He always offers excellent advice and can often suggest inexpensive fixes when other 'experts' claim that replacement is the only way forward.

I know he'll make an invaluable contribution to PN.

Just a quickie to thank Guy and the chaps for a great job this winter! I won't bother going into all the detail of just how thorough a job these guys do, but I'll give you two examples

1. The steering wheel was delaminating a bit. Brian took it home and refurbed it over Christmas, just for fun... It now looks like new. Amazing!

2. The cigar lighter (sorry, 12v output to be absolutely PC about it...) wasn't working. It was gently bead blasted - now looks like new and works perfectly.

Next year it's a LOT of work on the front suspension... I have a grandmother for sale if anyone is interested...

Seriously, if you have a classic and are looking for the best people I've come across in almost 40 years of motoring, do yourself a favour and give Guy a call.

Just to reiterate, I have no links to Tim Walker Restorations - just bigging up a great business.
