View Full Version : A tour for September 2008?
We'd love to go and play with the amazing Alpine roads this year but we know we've left things a little late.
The logistics of organising hotels, crossings and getting people interested for a tour in September will take a great deal of hard work.
However, just because it's difficult, doesn't mean we wont do it!
We've done our sums (i had to borrow a couple of extra fingers from the team) and it's a long shot but if we can get a minimum of 15 cars and (our break even point) willing to pay a deposit by the end of July we'll do it.
i've posted up another thread for the tour details...have a look!
Definitely interested, depends on trip duration (I'm running out of holidays) - any ideas how long it would be for?
I'm definitely interested (with the usual caveats of cost and dates matching what I have available).

To say I'm interested would be an understatement. :)

totally!! i'm in.
i have some days booked off in begining of september already so would match up perfectly :D
If all goes well, we'd be thinking of a tour that lasts from a saturday to either the following saturday or sunday, so in effect you'd be looking at 5 working days off.
no firm dates pencilled in as yet, but september works best as the roads in europe are slightly quieter then in august and the mountain passes are still open.
any later and you start to risk the weather.

sounds great!
my working days are a little bizzare but that's beside the point! :D

We're pencilling in dates in early September, looking at routes and hotel options
the dates we're looking at are the 6th to the 13th.
naturally the focus will be on the best roads and having fun...
As Harsh mentioned, it rather depends on how much interest we get as to whether we can pull this one off
do those dates work?

Thank you Harsh!
i've already done so on FB so i'll have a hunt for the thread on PH and do so there too.
Chris, there's no thread on PH at the moment.
you're welcome to start one if you wish i guess EMT would be best?

Thread has now been deleted on EMT, I can only assume for the overt PN plug in the title of the thread ;) Suggest you retry it with a simpler title maybe.....
