With another successful Dads Day Out behind us the PN team's thoughts now turn back to the other fun stuff we have in store.

We'll be heading of on our Viking tour 3 days after this Ace meet and will also be off to the Alps for the first of our Alpine tours in the first week of July so it's all go (again!)

Of course we (and our Ace meets) are about much more than just our tours, it's all about meeting up and enjoying the company of like minded petrolheads and the Ace cafe is a perfect venue for that.

Good food, great cars and friendly people.

We'll be there from 6pm onwards - summer meets are always busy so we'll likely be there until closing time at 11pm so feel free to come down whenever you are free - the car park is first come first served and we generally fill it whatever the weather.

Ford night at the Ace has been banned at the Ace previously and i was surprised to see it start up again........ but i guess that's just the generosity of the Ace giving the benefit of the doubt........ and it's been thrown back in their face :o

Hope i don't get turned away on the 13th lol............. maybe i can stick a TVR badge on the back :D


For the record............ i've never been to a Ford night at the Ace, and it's now even less appealing than it was previously, which was about nil appeal anyway :rolleyes:

I was talking to the Ace guys at Dads Day Out about the various club nights, and they actually mentioned one in particular was getting a bit out of hand (I now assume they meant the Ford one)

The very popular Jap nights at the Ace suffered the same cancellation fate a couple of years ago due to too many idiots doing dangerous things on the public road outside..
It's the Ace trying to be responsible, even though most of the time it's not on their own land, don't think there's in any way a threat to the Ace of closure because of this.

As it's school spelt with a K i assumed it was something to do with OSF forum which is essentially MK1 and MK2 Escorts, Cortina's and Anglia's etc but i see no mention of it on their forum so i guess it could have been anyone.................... besides, as said, it's probably not so much the car people as the hangers on who see the Ford badge as a green light for trouble :(

Nice pics. And on a 34 year old camera too!. I like the one of the Enzo and Spyker with their doors up/open. I thought my Elise looked a little pink :( which would would amuse anyone who knows how much I hate pink!

I know sorry about the pink-ness of the Elise! That's the fault of my scanner, not the camera which is really anoying. Grrr!
