I think there probably is some sort of meet to drive down there, and I am sure that nearer the time the details will be put up ;)

Dan H
23-06-08, 16:42 PM
I'm off on holiday on Thursday and not back until the Saturday before this - hence the early post. . . . :)

Harsh
23-06-08, 16:46 PM
We will indeed be heading down to Goodwood,

we're thinking of meeting in Guildford, say around 7ish (venue to be decided)
and running down.
it's a good idea to get there early to ensure we get some decent berths at Goodwood.

Dan H
23-06-08, 16:49 PM
Bachi, can you text or email (work address) to confirm details once sorted?

Ta :)

Harsh
23-06-08, 18:16 PM
of course mate...no problem!

Dizeee
23-06-08, 18:18 PM

Harsh
23-06-08, 18:30 PM
Thats what i'm thinking...how does that sound?

Dan H
23-06-08, 19:18 PM
of course mate...no problem!

ok, so lets go for a 7am meet with a 7.15am leave time from Guildford.

where would you like to meet, The Cathedral or at B&Q?

i'm easy...the cathedral's easier to find but B&Q is bigger.........

Harsh
26-06-08, 12:21 PM
ok, decision made....

Guildford Cathedral's easier for people to find so that's where we'll meet up.

We'll be leaving at 7.15am sharp to make sure we get to Goodwood in plenty of time to get our cars on show (fingers crossed!)

postcode for the cathedral is GU2 7UP

Dan H
27-06-08, 17:07 PM
Good work - as is having a free wireless network where we're staying at the moment!!

I'll see you all there. . . .

It needs to be said that this is not a race or rally. The purpose of this thread is simply to help guide you via an enjoyable route to the Goodwood event.

if you're looking for something competitive or intend to drive in an anti social way, we'd prefer you didnt join us.

see you on Sunday

I have, on one occasion, broken wind whilst driving. Is this deemed as anti social?:D

We need some good PN video's and my aim for this weekend is to make some...

You were just going to bed I'd guess :D

Yeah, not too bad - came back a day early - I'll explain tomorrow.

Dizeee - if Mrs Dizeee is coming with you, my passenger seat should be available for the VTEC experience :)

Kelk

Well if the weather stays like it is now I may well go out and wash the car (like I need an excuse ), especially if there is camera footage coming.

I'm really looking forward to this as my first PN meet :grouphug:

HI guys,

Just updated the itinerary on the Tom Tom and I hope I've done it ok, never done that before

Harsh
05-07-08, 20:54 PM
I've just done the same.

Robin will be on hand at Guildford if you need help setting it up.

You wont miss him, he'll be in the big truck like thing! :)

Sorry peeps, no pictures from me - given the weather - I couldn't really be arsed :D

So in summary -

Nice sociable meet up before the drive - shame about the weather.

Nice drive, shame about the weather.

Good wandering around Goodwood, shame about the weather.

Some very nice motors around, but, the car of the day for me had to be the Cayster, Coxster, Boyman, Gayman thing - why?? :D

Hi Dan, meant to catch up with you and apologise for my poor driving to Goodwood, I was almost falling asleep atthe wheel :(

Hence my early departure!

Catch you next week at the Ace mate :)

Excellent fun today - thanks all.

I have to agree with Dan - the Porsche Boxman was FABULOUS. Perhaps second only to the frail little granny, totally beside herself when she asked the guy with the purple Diablo to start it up. :D

Dizzee - sorry to hear you lost contact with us. We followed the Milhurst route which was great as always despite the weather. The sheer madness of the boys in Atoms was quite a sight.

Here's to the next outing, and the spirit of the Brits!

No worries mate, I know you said you were knackered.

Plus having a roof would get you diverted to a different parking area anyway, making it harder to find us.

Glad you got home ok.

See you next week :)

Hi to all those that I met today. I think the highlights for me where:

Leaving the cathedral and following tom tom onto the A3 and laughing that everyone else was going the wrong way :D and then following a 360 that we thought was part of the group that blatantly wasn't :D:D

Parking up whilst talking to Dan and seeing the procession come up behind.....and then turn left 30 yards before they reached Jo and I :svengo:

The Diablo roadster that was "a bit of girls car with cows on the headrests" - not bad for a 5.7L v12

Generally laughed all day long and nice to finally meet Harsh and Nancy (and yes I will remember that offer you graciously made - it made my day ;) and I didn't even drive away in the Gayster )

Dan - sorry the drive back was so dull

jumplead

was a good run in,

great selection of cars at the Cathedral. Scary thing is we have an office across the road from the Cathedral yet i still got lost in the industrial estate next to it this morning.

Good to meet some of you, my first meet outside of my local PH area and my first PN meet. Looking forward to catching up with some of you at Ace Cafe on the 14th too.

No problem - the weather wasn't really helping the ability to play safely.

Plus plenty of traffic too :(

We had a great time and really enjoyed that small weather window over Goodwood, before the heavens really opened. :(

Good to see you again Jo, Chris and Dan and meet some new petrolheads albeit briefly !!

See you at the Ace :)

...to everyone who came down.

it was a really fun crowd, exactly the kind of people we enjoy spending time with.
lots of stories from our side which we'll reserve for our soon to be released blog site.

but once again a big thank you for making our day so much fun despite the vaguries of the British Summer!

We got a nice grid position at Goodwood in the 360 and the wet Atom.
