What an immense tour!
Took many, many, many pics which I am uploading to my photobucket account.
They are the high res images and feel free to download any that you like.
I have uploaded days 1 & 2 so far and will upload more later on. The link is below, keep checking back as I upload more. The daily albums are on the left-hand side.

I would just like to say a huge thanks to Bachi, Pete and Ben for the huge amount of effort they put into the tour from start to finish. I knew a few of you before the tour, but have made some good friends as a result of it.
Hope to see some of you soon, either at the monthly Ace meet or another tour.

Someone mentioned making a book of our collected photos. Found the following site which could be good. Thoughts?

Hmm, looks like a good idea!
I had one made with my Oz rally photos. Looks great but they are expensive, quite a few people have asked if they could have a copy and then change their minds when they hear how much they are! The price does come down the more you order but it also goes up for each page you add. Mine worked out a £58 for one! That was with a company called CEWE, they were the cheapest I could find at the time that still looked good quality.
Finally got round to down loading my photos. Didn't take many this year, here are a couple of the better ones.

Chaps.
1. We were going to set up a photobook account and get some books printed.
2. I've downloaded and installed some new video editing software (Final Cut) which is supposedly a step above IMovie. The downside is, it will take me a while to work out how to use the damn thing, so DVD won't be happening quickly, although I have lots of footge to work from.
To those with gopro cameras, the video quality is great, however you really need to do some homework on the sound, as large chunks of it are just wind noise, which makes the footage difficult to incorporate...
Just my 2c,
After deleting the cr*p we have some good clips but they are part of longer sequences. The file sizes are consequently pretty monsterous.
If I give you a call for your address Drew, can I post you a DVD as I know nothing about editing (when I tried I ended up with a file that completely filled my laptop... :banghead: )
As it was inside the car the sound effects are not wind noise, more radio comms and marital disputes :D

Just my 2c,
Drew, there's not much that can be done with sound on the Go Pro. Best results come from using the back door with the cut out holes then stuffing cotton wool around the sides/back of the camera(not over the mic) However cutting down wind noise when the camera is mounted outside is pretty impossible at speed and mounting inside gives nasty windscreen reflections. Go pro do have plans for a wireless mic which could be mounted elsewhere but it is long overdue in production!
Now you have final cut what you can do is lock the video timeline then delete the Go pro sound and drag the sound from another clip under the go pro one(assuming you have another shot whos sound fits. For example I had my Go Pro mounted on the M3's boot lid which gave great pictures but at speed the sound was bad. Harsh had his mounted in the 360, better sound but I couldn't use the pictures because of reflections and the dash filling half the frame. So I used the pictures from one and the sound from the other where possible.
Failing that I reduce the sound level so the wind noise isn't too annoying and maybe put a bit of music under ;)

Oh it was just Ross's old Canon digital camera that we mounted up on the windscreeen. Not a go pro or anything.
We have just bought a new i5 HP laptop that has a pretty decent graphics card and Windows 7 video editting program on it which might have helped with the quality. :geek:
