I'll be attending this i expect so thought it would be rude not to mention it :D

The date is April 11th and all the details are on the PH thread :-

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=121&t=815929&mid=50784&nmt=Aldeburgh fish and chips run April 11th

Some of these are the guys that had a run down from East Anglia to the Ace meet a few months ago

I've run with them before and it's all good i have to say.......... they're pretty relaxed in their approach with slightly more accessible start times and the runs are a little less hardcore than say a Kent run but still makes for a brisk and enjoyable run out :thumb:

I'm down for that run, weather permitting, had quite a blast last time, thought it would be rubbish starting at 10am, on Sunday. once we had left the A14 hardly saw another car. Great bunch of lads as well.

This one is this Sunday coming :D

I was hoping my car would be back to full fitness in time...... but sadly no. However that may not stop me going as i can still get from a to b as long as i resist the temptation to crank up the boostage :)

I know there is the Surrey run the same day but i'm going to opt for some sea air and the quiet roads of Norfolk. I don't wish to be unkind to the Surrey Run but looking at the thread it appears the Run is only 50 miles so could potentially be over quite quickly :(. Apologies to them if i've got that wrong :o

Given that it's lookin' to be a gorgeous weekend....... a visit to the coast could be just the ticket :D

The attendance list is looking very healthy to the point that i think the sleepy Seaside town of Aldeburgh might be in for a bit of a shock  Though the owner of the Famous Fish n' Chip shop there will no doubt be over the moon :D

Think itn files are on the cards though the PHEA organisers have only recently been getting to grips with these so we'll see what happens :)

Just updating the attendance list......... some nice metal coming :)

Oh, and did you see the bit about a prize for the loudest car lol ;)

Edit: I'll be taking Dads Day Out Flyers to do a bit of canvassing :)

Well, i've received the route file by e-mail from them......... but i can't get it to load onto the Nav :o Not sure if i'm doing something wrong or if it is them

Not had problems with itn files before so not sure what's happening at the moment :(

I've asked Mark if he can post the file on the PH thread to see if anyone else is having probs.........

Lightweight! I didn't get to bed till 3am but still made it up for 05:30 and was down at Denbies for the Surrey run at 7am. :D Nancy was truly hardcore, turning up in the Atom at that rather chilly hour!

Wow !! What an awesome Run....... this year is getting better & better

Started out from Cambridge with 20 cars and went on to meet another group at their start of Stowmarket where we were met by another incoming group from Thetford. By this time we must have been at least 80 cars at Tesco Stowmarket........ which attracted the Police like flies round the proverbial, but when they arrived they just got out and had a laugh and a chat whilst admiring some very nice and in some cases very exotic cars :) Even had some old guy in a tweed jacket roll up in his Bentley and join us as we left to run to the coast  Whatever next lol........ good 'ol boy i say :D

From Stowmarket to save congestion we split into 7 or 8 different groups of about 10 or 12 cars and left at 10 minute intervals to take the scenic route to Aldeburgh........ they do have some fantastic roads in Norfolk if you know where to look and not too many potholes either......... the route had been well researched  And even though it was mid to late morning by now there wasn't all that much traffic about to slow us up :coolgleamA:

Had to park away from the centre of town just off the beach when we got there as we would have brought the town to a standstill if we'd gone into the centre  But wasn't too bad a walk to get a bag of chips.......... though the queue at the chippy was 40mins  Well worth it though..... best chips i've had i reckon, i can see why they say the chippy at Aldeburgh is famous

Nice and sunny too............ fook me it was windy though  Nearly blew me chips away :rolleyes:

At Cambridge........

It was an awesome sight to see all the cars by the sea at the end of the run.......... and caused quite a stir with the locals and the tourists..... with people putting there kids in the cars for pics and stuff. Great Day :thumb:

Nice to see Swampy & Plenty.............. and i did manage to stick DDO flyers on most of the cars.......... just hope they didn't all end up in the sea with that rather brisk breeze

Good to see you Julian and great work with the DDO flyers. Not sure how you managed to make it to Aldeburgh with your Cossie looking just as sparkling as when we started? Can I have some of that wax please?
