Something from the world of lawnmowers to keep an eye on in the next few months - they are attempting to set the land speed record for the fastest ride on mower on the Pendine Sands in April , the current record was set at 80mph by an American so we need to do this don't we ? The machine still has to be capable of cutting grass before the event , the British manufacturer Countax have taken up the mantle (run by an ex racing driver Harry Handklammer) and they have a team assembled by various interested parties including Beaulieu , Waitrose and Toyota , I guess its cheaper than an F1 programme !

I must say the prospect of no suspension and speed wobble would terrify me !
