PH Sunday Service VW Milton Keynes 21/02/10

Just wondered if anyone was planning on going to this?

I could do a bit of a local run afterwards ending at a country pub for a leisurely afternoon drink if anyone was up for it.

This is local to me (5 minute walk) and the roads around the outside of MK are my hunting ground. If anyone would be interested on a run afterwards lets create a list and decide a departure time and go from there. :)

Did this last year for the Lotus Sunday Service at Silverstone and it worked pretty well :D

Not sure if I'm on the list or not! I add myself then look back at the list to find on the next post my name has been removed....other people adding themselves at the same time. There are currently 3 number 299's and 2 number 301's!
Make that 3 number 301's and my name has been removed again!! I give up!! So I guess I won't be there :(

I edited my post to sort it out with you one place above me and in the time it took it had been bu88ered up by someone. PH is usually pretty good at combing through and sorting it out when the list closes and then creating a reserve list from those that actually drop off the list.

As you are shown in my post it should be fine.

The list thing did seem a bit chaotic today :( Glad i got on it earlier.........

Just hope the chaos doesn't carry over onto the day........ i can still envisage quite a few turning up on spec :( so if we're having a little sortie in that direction we best be punctual :yes: Is a plan developing ? breakfast at the Ace ? or would that have to be too early if we're to be at MK for 9am ?

Post meet run sounds good but only if my gearbox lands in time............... i bleedin' hope so as i'm even boring myself now going on about it :(

Back from the garage now and yes, it's done! Sadly it's no longer as loud but on the plus side it is much, much faster! Didn't realise quite how much power I was losing there!! and the exhaust still has a fairly nice burble to it :D

I was thinking one of the pubs out Stoke Bruene way but will have a think to see if there is something suitable for us. Open to suggestions though

Can all wishing to attend this alternative to VW run confirm their attendance in this thread as the details/route/RV for the run will be in an invite only forum from tomorrow. Any stragglers arriving here in the meantime up to the 21st post up here and you'll be given the access rights to the RV thread for the run.

The route will be very similar to the original idea, except I reckon we'll extend it to take in some additional cracking sections of road that weren't possible originally . If needs be we can always add another RV or two along the route for those that need it. We'll finish at a great cafe for a full English at the end. I've simply combined the original list when there were pre & post runs happening, so those that were on the post run that can't make the new run, just remove yourselves from the list.
