Went down to brentwood raceway today and it was pretty good! Its an outdoor track so, was have much fun with the live axel in the hairpins!

If anybody is up for it would not mind going down there again around 1pm on the 11th and then run to the ace afterwards.

Its very good value, on a monday I paid only £43 for a 60 min practice but it was very empty so I elected to do two 30 mins semi races with others there. Basically turn up and drive.

Any takers?

Me + Go Kart = really, really Bad idea!!

Last time, someone ran into me sending me into the tyre wall, I was catapulted headlong from the Kart, however the steering column broke my flight and sent me flying in the opposite direction out of the kart where I hit my head on the track and was knocked unconscious. Not one of my better birthdays :(

However I'm not working so may be tempted to come along and laugh at the rest of you :D

errrm....:ack2:

is this indoor or outdoor you have in mind?
shame there's nowhere a bit closer to the Ace, then i think we could probably swing it.
nearest i know is kings cross.

is there one in Park royal anywhere?

Are you thinking of Daytona at Kings X?

I'm pretty sure that's now shut down.

There's one at Colnbrook near me. Close to the M25/M4 junction so about 30mins from Ace.

never been there so can't vouch for it though. oh, but it is indoor which I assume you want at this time of year.

Indoor karting at Kings Cross and Park Royal shut down years ago.. Nearest to the Ace is Colnbrook or Surbiton.

I tHink there was one near Enfield too.

eta.... Colnbrook is really near to M4/Heathrow so getting to the Ace would be a doddle afterwards, and it's indoor so no weather issues, might be a bit slow though cos it's a short track..

Im not such a big fan of indoor as the tracks tend to be very narrow and tight to fit in all in. So i go to daytona in milton keynes but i was in the area and not been before and aparently the brentwood one is an international quality track.

But with all the cold weather you get ice on the track which means 4 wheels sidesways skids at 30 mph! woo hoo!

Yes its not the easiest to the ace but its on the a12 which can feed you onto the a 406 and just follow it round. its about 60 mins away I suspect.

Bachi, I sure you can put the trip down to "petrolhead research"!
