Driving Tours

The 2012 tour calendar includes trips to the Alps, Spain, California, Wales and Scotland and other amazing destinations, driving the roads people only ever dream about. Our tours tend to sell out quickly as we limit numbers to ensure everyone is looked after properly.

Take a look at our 2012 tours, and if you’d like to join us, be sure to let us know well in advance.

The Welsh Weekender Tour | 27-29 April

We’ll still be visiting the old favourites: The Black Mountains, ‘EVO’ triangle, Snowdonia National Park and the Brecon Beacons. All of this in just two days and we even include two nights at a Spa Hotel owned by a petrolhead. We’re limiting this to just 20 cars so that we can make sure everyone is looked after and, of course you will still have the benefit of two tour managers, walkie talkies and, new for 2012 loan of our Tom tom’s with all the routes pre loaded. It may just be a weekend away but remember… it’s a Petrolhead Nirvana weekend away!

The Highland Tour | 13-18 May

You don’t need to leave the UK to find spectacular drivers’ roads. Our Scottish tour proves that beyond all doubt. Extensive research and several fun filled trips mean that you can be sure that what we’ve got in store for you are the very best roads that the British isles can offer.

The Alpine Tour | 30 June – 7 July

We use the Black Forest as a warm up and Stelvio as a stop off point before taking you on the most amazing few days of your driving life. We’ve selected an amazing mix of passes and drivers roads which battle with the scenery for the right to take your breath away. Best of all this trip is aimed at drivers and so is open to anyone with the right attitude (no egos allowed) and a car that is fun to drive. So whether it’s an MX5, an MP4 -12C or an acronym we’ve not heard of yet you will be welcome.

Alpine South | 7 – 15 September

9 days, 6 countries, the Pyrenees, Alpine passes, ancient cities, the Millau Bridge, Stelvio, Mont Ventoux, Tour de France special stages, Ducati testing grounds and the old Grand Prix circuit at Reims. This is an adventure most people only dream about and it’s limited to just 18 cars. If you thought adrenalin and relaxation were mutually exclusive, think again. This trip has something for everyone. Amazing drivers roads contrast with relaxing hotels and beautiful scenery.

The American Dream | 22 – 29 September

Las Vegas, Hollywood, Death Valley, Route 66, The Golden Gate Bridge, Napa Valley, The Hoover Dam, Yosemite, Mojave, Beverley Hills, Malibu Beach, the Grand Canyon, Laguna Seca and the Calico Ghost Town. All of these are must see places when travelling to the West Coast of America, but this is far more than just a sightseeing tour. The Pacific Coast Highway that twists and turns with mountains on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other, Mulholland Highway, Angeles Crest, the Eldorado and Joshua Tree National Park roads are all as good as anything you’ll find in Europe, plus we’ve got a few surprises in store.
